An uneven book

This one is a bit hard to rate. I didn't "enjoy" reading it, the story didn't captivate. Yet, when it is put into the societal context that it was written for, then it suddenly becomes something entirely different. So I'm torn. It's worth a read for the social commentary, if not for the story itself.
