Utterly brilliant, funny and deeply poignant.

No doubt a not insignificant amount of the love I have for this book is down to the borderline concerning degree to which I relate to the main character, Bob Comet, especially during his childhood.

It will stick with me for a long time. Probably my favourite book in a while.

"Librarianist" review - slight, but fun character study

A slight, but fun character study.

Bob Comet, a retired librarian, after volunteering at a senior center, looks back on his mostly uneventful life. Includes his short marriage and adventures as a child runaway.

A gentle, comedic view of the world. Few big dramatic moments or twists (maybe one twist).
