This book is split up into two parts. The first part is what you're probably here for, and it is excellent. That is the vehicles.
The second part relates the vehicles to contemporary (remember though that the book is quite old) neuroscience. That part I'm not qualified to judge because I did not understand most of it, but I also wasn't very interested in doing so mostly because of the age of the science mentioned. It is this part that pulls it down from a five to a four in my opinion.
